Emergency Preparedness

Being prepared means being ready for any kind of emergency, whether a hurricane, utility disruption or man-made disaster. Taking simple steps can make a big difference in ensuring your safety and the well being of your loved ones.

In the event of a disaster or emergency, Heritage Trust will provide a list of open/closed branch locations on our Web site and Voice Line Service.

Prepare in Advance

  • Retrieve important documents, from a safety deposit box, etc.
  • Get extra cash in the event that branch locations are closed or ATM machines are down.
  • Sign up for Online and Mobile Banking, eStatements, Bill Pay and Voiceline services to have access to your account information from any computer.
  • Make sure you have your member number and the Heritage Trust routing/ABA number (253278362) to ensure accuracy for direct deposit or ACH transactions.

Utilize Shared Branching
If you must evacuate due to a natural disaster or emergency, Shared Branching is an alternate way to access your information and funds.

With shared branching, credit unions from all over the country share facilities to give members thousands of convenient locations to perform transactions just as if they were in their credit union.
Locate other credit unions in the Shared Branching Network.
