HTFCU Hosts 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

On Thursday, March 22nd, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union hosted their 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Legend Oaks Golf Club in Summerville to benefit the American Cancer Society. The event raises community awareness and helps fund better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. This year’s tournament raised $7,800.

Over 50 players joined local businesses and industry leaders to show their support through personal donations and corporate sponsorships.  Players also had the opportunity to celebrate this annual event with awards and door prizes following the tournament.

“Heritage Trust is proud to once again support the American Cancer Society and the Summerville Relay For Life event later this month,” commented Heritage Trust President/CEO, Jim McDaniel. “We are grateful for the generosity from our players and sponsors as they help us combat this terrible disease.”

Funds raised at the tournament, as well as through other fundraising efforts held throughout the year, will be donated to the American Cancer Society at their signature event, the Relay For Life, on April 21st.  Relay For Life is a yearly celebration that raises money and public awareness in the fight against cancer.
